Durana White Clover
Type: cool season perennial

Uses: Rackmaster Durana White Clover is the newest white clover on the market for whitetail deer management. Durana was developed by Dr. Joe Bouton, while at the University of Georgia, to persist under grazing pressure, tolerate acidic soils, compete aggressively with weeds and grasses and to tolerate low management situations. Durana, unlike ladino clover, is an intermediate white clover. Intermediate clovers have a medium leaf size and a leaf density that is very thick, from the ground to the top of the plant. This leaf density will help prevent weed invasion. Durana possesses a high stolon density; it has 97 stolons per square foot, unlike conventional ladino clovers which only have 52 per square foot. It is pre-inoculated and lime coated for easy seeding and optimal nitrogen fixation. Durana will outlast conventional ladino clovers in food plots and persist for years on good moisture holding soils. With protein levels of over 25% and digestibility of over 75%, Durana will make an excellent pure stand or combination planting for any food plot to feed, attract and hold game on your property. Durana is persistent, productive and a highly preerred white clover.

Deer love blue lupine and its economical too.

The highly palatable foliage of lupine provides a high energy, protein-rich browse for deer, turkey and rabbits.

The plant can reach a height of 3 feet, affords quality habitat for nesting game and non-game birds.

When wildlife finish enjoying the crop, turn under the lupine to enrich the soil with nitrogen and organic matter. If planted in September, deer will begin grazing it in December. Rapid plant growth occurs in late winter.

Flowers in April with it's signature 6" blue purple spikes. Plant lupines around your outbuildings for memorable color splashes.

The large seed size of Blue Lupine allows you to plant it mixed with our Naked Oats- a one pass superb combination for wildlife plots. Most other winter legume seeds are so small that they are often buried. Inoculate your seed so they can make nitrogen themselves. Then plant 50lbs/A if drilled or 75lbs/A if broadcast alone. Plant 40lbs/A if planted with 75-100lbs/A of Naked Oats. Planting time: September through November.
